On the 7th Day He Rested

Good morning on this, the Lord's Day,
0
There probably won't be a lot of resting around the Wade house today.  Tammi, Bruce and Bobby got in from Colorado City with the last loads around 11 last night, so there will be lots of activity later getting everything moved in.  We are deeply in debted to our friends, Frank and Kathy Timmons, Jerry McDonald, and cousin Pat McGowan for all the help they provided to the kids in packing up Friday and Saturday.  Kathy even made her famous burritos and green chili for them.  Thank you so much!  Wish there were more words to express our appreciation for all the help ... I just don't know what they are.

Confession time.  Yesterday I was somewhat concerned because I was feeling a little ... for lack of a better word ... punky.  Felt pretty weak and just not as invincible as I had been feeling.  I'm sure it was due to the two previous busy days with late nights.  Okay, so 10:00 is now late for me.  What can I say?  At any rate, today is a whole new story.  I feel strong, invincible and pretty much on top of the world.

We spent yesterday morning at John and Shauna's visiting with Barb, Steve and Gail before Barb flew home.  Had a marvelous breakfast!   John made pancakes and Shauna served a great quiche.  When John and Steve returned from the airport, they were really steamed.  Seems Security decided that Barb, a 79 year-old white haired lady on oxygen, looked like a terrorist.  They did the full body scan, etc.  According to John,  everyone at the airport was disgusted with her treatment.  When I called her last night to ask why she hadn't left her turbine here, she said it was her choice.  She could either give up her O2 for 10 minutes or have the scan.  She chose the scan.

Steve and Gail will be leaving today; however, they are coming by for an hour or so before they head home.  It's been so nice having them here and being able to talk about everything under the sun.  I really appreciate them making the long trip to see us.

Well dear ones, I'm going to pack it in and go lay down for an hour or so before getting cleaned up.  Have a blessed Sunday and we'll be chatting tomorrow.

Love Ya Loads,

L
