Two in One

Hello again dear friends and family,

Please accept my apologies for not visiting with you yesterday.  I had some technical issues, the least of which was the fact that I couldn't get logged on to Blog.  Then Jerry had to take the computer with him when he and Bruce went out to the lake (Keyhole) to help some friends work on their new home.  He needed the computer to design stairs, etc.  Hopefully Jenni has the problem corrected with the Blog and we won't run into the problem again.

Both Friday and yesterday were wonderful days.  Bruce and Jerry got the majority of the east deck built on Friday and we went out and watched the sunrise yesterday morning.  I'm still in awe of the fact that this is the first of October in Wyoming.  It felt like almost 90 degrees yesterday and is supposed to be every bit as nice today.  Wow!  What a difference 17 years can make.

Yesterday was such a delightful day.  Spent the day with Tammi who really kicked butt with the boxes in the house.  In fact, everything in the kitchen, dining room and living room is in place.  Feels like home.  The china hutch is done!  And there are no boxes anywhere to be seen (just don't look in the spare bedroom or downstairs).  It feels so wonderful.  Last night we turned on all the lights in the china hutch and entertainment center while we had dinner with Tammi and Bruce.  It was wonderful.  As a bonus, Tammi and I were able to have good, quality time together which we haven't had an opportunty to do the last two months.

Brandon's grandmother, Marie, came up for about an hour and we had a marvelous visit.  She is 81 years young and battling her own health problems, taking chemo every three weeks.  Please keep her in your prayers.  She is such a delightful lady and needs those prayers sent her way.

It seems I'm improving each and every day.  I'm getting stronger and am able to walk quite a distance without my walker, although I don't do it when Jerry's around as he has a tendency to get a little grumpy with me when he sees me take off without it.  He's just being protective and I appreciate that.

My prayer is that you and yours are all well and happy.  Once again, to quote my precious sister, be kind to yourself.  Have a wonderful Sunday and I'll be visiting with you again tomorrow, provided there are no technical difficulties.

Love to you all,

L

  1. Whew! Glad you were on today. I get to worryin' when you're not. I'm working my 4 day shift at Wally-World and of course on my 1st day off last week I got the ol' sinus/bronchitis mess. I'm at the stage where my ears are stuffed (can't hear thunder) and my chest is full. Lost my voice yesterday so at work I was deaf and mute! Still managed to hear the screaming kids though!

I have wanted to call now that I have your number but I wouldn't have been able to hear your wonderful laughter!

You take care, get stronger, and keep the faith, baby!

    Love you~~
