Hola once more from balmy Gillette WY where it is currently 57 degrees, on its way to 86. Can't believe it!
Yesterday started out magnificently, with Tammi, Jerry and me hanging pics, putting books in the book shelves, etc. Angie brought her folks, Judy and Cecil, out for a visit in the afternoon and then, about 2 or 2:30, the day started downhill.
Once more the ambulance had to be called to Hitt Drive. Not for me this time, but for Tammi. Believe me, I would much prefer it had been for me! I thought she had gone home to study. Not so. Instead she opted to go riding on her mustang, Gus, which she had inadvertenly won at an auction several years ago. That's another story for another time.
Long story short, Gus spooked, Tammi hit the ground acquiring a great deal of road rash, very painful hip and ribs. Good news is, nothing is broken. Bad news is, she's in a lot of pain. Didn't get back from ER until after 10 last night. They had problems w/her blood pressure, which kept bottoming out every time she would try to stand. I'm anxious to get down this morning to see how her night went.
I feel just pheomenal today. Yesterday, after Tammi's trauma, I could feel the energy leaching (or is it leechig?) out of my body. Amazing what stress and worry can do. I choose, though, to have today be a good day and know that I'm getting stronger each day.
We have 8:30 and 9:30 appts with our new PCP, Dr. Meade, this morning so I'm going to close and go get my shower. Seems like it takes me at least twice, if not three times, as long to get ready anymore.
Have a superb Monday and I'll be talking with you again tomorrow.
Loads of Love,
L
Awww, give Tammi a hug for me! What a lucky young lady to not have anything broken.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with appts. today.
