Wonderful Happened

Top of the Morning to You!

So ... did something wonderful happen to or for you yesterday.  I sure hope so, because it did for us.  In calling all the utilities, etc., in Colorado City to give them our new address, I talked with a friend of ours who is in the market for a home there.  She wants to look at the house, and I just have a feeling she and her husband will probably make an offer.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Yesterday was such a wonderful day, filled with love and family.  I was also able to get quite a bit of book work accomplished, although I still have a little left for today.  Then we had a delightful dinner out with John and Shauna.  They are so much fun, no matter the setting.  We went to Las Margaritas and had a marvelous meal.  They serve enough to choke a horse, and it's delicious.

Bobby is going to take me for my chest and shoulder xray this morning and then I'm hoping to stop and get some shoes and houseslippers.  The only shoes I can get on when my foot is swollen are my flip-flops ... and the weather is getting to the point where they're a little cool in the mornings.  John also told me if I'd wear houseslippers on the hard wood flooring it would save my feet, which have been hurting a little.  So ... that's the plan.

This morning, once again, I feel super strong and wonderful.  Thank God for Votrient (my chemo med).  I'm anxious to see what the chest xray shows but won't know for about a week and a half when I see Dr. Meade again.  I'll let you know.  Am hoping the tumors in the lung have shrunk considerably.  I'll be surprised if they haven't.

Since its only 4 AM, guess I'll close for now and go back to bed for an hour or so.  Have a fantastic day and we'll be talking tomorrow.

God Bless,

L

  1. Hi Grandma! So sorry you weren't feeling the best this evening, with the good comes the bad. Luckily, we have more good days then bad and I'm sure they'll keep coming. You are an inspiration and are helping me see the good in every situation. Thanks for all your wisdom, strength, and love over the years. I'm only giving back a fraction of what you have given me. You're an amazing woman and will be the miracle patient when you return to Denver, I just know it! Love you mostest <3
